As part of the ongoing commitment to strengthening the quality culture in higher education, ASCAL held a meeting with the members of the Internal Evaluation Groups (IEG) of the Polytechnic University of Tirana, aiming to prepare and conduct the internal evaluation process of the study programs.
During the meeting, ASCAL's role in supporting and guiding higher education institutions through quality assurance processes was emphasized as an essential element for the continuous improvement of academic and institutional standards. In this context, the main aspects of the accreditation process, the drafting of the self-evaluation report, the preparation of supporting documentation, as well as the responsibilities of the IEG in this process, were addressed.
The meeting aimed to foster a clearer understanding of the importance of internal evaluation as a key mechanism for identifying strengths, addressing needs for improvement, and guaranteeing the quality of study programs. Furthermore, the importance of a collaborative, structured, and effective approach by higher education institutions, in accordance with the evaluation standards and criteria, was highlighted.
