In the framework of the cooperation agreement that ASCAL has signed with the Italian National Agency for the Evaluation of the University and Research System (ANVUR), a meeting took place in Rome between the Director of ASCAL, Mrs. Xhiliola Bixheku and ANVUR President Mr. Antonio Felice Uricchio.

In this meeting was discussed about the current situation of each agency, the accreditation processes and the possibility of collaboration between two agencies for joint accreditation processes.

As one of the main objectives of higher education in the country is internationalization, thus offering joint study programs between two countries, the heads of two agencies discussed that maybe has arrived the moment that the accreditation be carried out by the two agencies at the same time. Also, in this meeting, was discussed the possibility of engagement of ANVUR experts in the accreditation processes that are carried out by ASCAL for study programs that are offered in cooperation with Italian universities, as well as the help that ANVUR will provide for ASCAL in its membership process as a full member of ENQA.
