From May 13 to 16, the Director of ASCAL, PhD. Xhiliola Bixheku, and the Head of the Accreditation Board Relations and Internationalization Sector, Mr. Erjon Xhako, participated in the INQAAHE 18th Biennial Conference held in Tokyo, under the theme “The Big Bang Theory: the Quality Assurance Paradigm Shift”.

The conference brought together global experts to explore the future of quality assurance in higher education, addressing the challenges and opportunities brought about by technological advancements, demographic changes, and new models of education delivery.

The main topics discussed during the conference were: Quality Assurance and the Sustainability Agenda; Quality Assurance and Innovative Learning Pathways; Quality Assurance and Artificial Intelligence; Quality Assurance and the Recognition of Qualifications and Credentials.

The conference provided a platform for sharing innovative practices, in-depth discussions, and contributions toward the advancement of quality assurance in higher education. Participants had the opportunity to engage in meaningful dialogue and collaborate with colleagues from around the world.
