On May 13-14, 2016, the General Assembly and the seminar on “Quality Assurance of Cross-border Higher Education” were held in Crakow, activities organized by CEENQA. The General Assembly marked the 15th anniversary of the creation of the CEE Network, first convened in Cracow in 2001.
Among the main issues discussed at the General Assembly were the membership of the Latvian Quality Agency for Higher Education (AIKA), the election and re-election of Board members, the adoption of a staff exchange new scheme, reviewing the application form based on shared values and principles.
Like all participants, the Director of PAAHE Mrs. Bozo gave a presentation of the current work of PAAHE and the Accreditation Council, which among other things presented the evaluation of Institutions and study programs for their opening and evaluation within accreditation (for the first time / periodical / Follow Up).
In the seminar proceedings, it was discussed on “Quality Assurance of Cross-Border Higher Education”, a very controversial issue also at the Conference of Ministers in Yerevan, May 2015, which resulted in the publication entitled “European Approach to Quality Assurance of Programs” (European Approach to the Quality Assurance of Joint Programs)
