Today, in the presence of Prime Minister Edi Rama and the Minister of Education, Sports and Youth Evis Kushi, the Accreditation Board (BA) of the Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ASCAL) started its work. AB is composed of a new team of experts of the highest international level. Board members are Albanian and foreign professors working at the best universities in Europe and America. The meeting was also attended by members of the previous Board and the Director of ASCAL.
In his speech, the Prime Minister thanked the outgoing Board for the work done and their achievements in these 4 years. He stressed that he did not attend any BA meetings and this practice will be followed in the future. He added: "The Accreditation Board is independent and should be such. On the other hand, we are here to make the most of your knowledge and experience either to benefit from the right decisions you will make or to learn beyond internal bureaucratic procedure of decisions, from your experience ".
He further said that we expect maximum integrity from the Board in decision-making, regardless of who is violated in their interests in our academic system because otherwise, any decision-making without integrity affects thousands of young people and parents and consequently the future of the country.
In his concluding words, the Prime Minister wished success to the Accreditation Board in this commitment.
